Marissa supports her food service team
Marissa understands the importance of communicating effectively with her food service team. To engage the food service team, Marissa develops and implements a program to recognize employees for demonstrating good customer service (5.02r).
In addition, she initiates an orientation and staff training program to support a safe, healthy work environment (5.02j, 5.02n). Topics will include safe food handling, health and safety practices, emergency procedures and effective customer service methods. Training initiatives will ensure that high quality food and service are provided to the university residents, as well as, support the health and well-being of the food service team.
Marissa’s role as Manager of the Nutrition and Food Services department provides an opportunity for introducing innovation through program development, managing change effectively, and positively impacting the daily life of all key stakeholders served by the university residence Nutrition and Food Services department.
